Is there anything happening in NB-IoT land?

We still dont have roaming. T-Mobile NL points us to DT Germany to get sims that can at least roam in 6 countries, but DT Germany tells us they cant sell to companys in the netherlands. very usefull.

      is eDRX already on?
How about simcards that can do GPRS, Cat-M1 and NB-IoT ?

@rhalflex roaming on NB-IoT is not going to happen anytime soon. If you want roaming I suggest you take a look at LTE-M, a lot if happening there for roaming.

@stefan-de-lange and @rhalflex indeed standard based NB-IOT roaming is becoming possible but it will take a while before a significant global footprint becomes available. With LTE-M it will be available earlier because operators can re-use the roaming technology in place for LTE networks.
However for NB-IOT internatco (meaning DT footprint) roaming is possible today! In every country where the Telekom Group has NB-IOT available NB-IOT roaming is possible without additional charges.

If you would like to have this enabled let us know on hi@iot.t-mobile.nl , we will switch the profile of your SIM card!

@rhalflex so called multi-mode simcards will become available soon an exact date is still uncertain but we expect commercial availability by the second quarter of this year.

May I suggest you also take a look at our central FAQ page for NB-IoT Roaming? 😉

I won't stop until everything is connected!
