    • RE: free Starterkit - order form options. Public IP address.

      hi @Filip9679 !
yes you will be able to change it later, you can always end your starterkit project and create another one with a different type, and if you have any issue doing that you can write me here and i will do it for you šŸ˜‰
I suggest you to chose the option ā€œVia webhooks and off-the-internetā€, so that you will be able to use iotcreators services later if you like.
If you only plan to only connect to public ip addresses though, registration is not even mandatory, you cna just insert it in your device and start using it.
You will have to setup the correct apn to work with public or iotcreators services.
To connect to public ip addresses, use apn internet.gma.iot
To connect to iotcreators services, use apn scs.telekom.tma.iot

Sim card works in many different countries, you can see a list here: https://docs.iotcreators.com/docs/roaming-mobile-iot-networks

      Hope this helps!

      Thank you,
      Best regards

    • RE: NBIOT coverage Greece

hi @Christos1080 , happy to have you on board!
      To answer your questions:
      3. Yes, you can use iotcreators sim cards under cosmote in greece (nb-iot only, lte-m not supported)
      4. yes absolutely. Also, if you want to use iotcreators services, the only way to access them is to use iotcreators sim cards
      5. I searched for your modem and it seems that supports nb-iot and lte-m, so itcreators sim cards should work

If you have any other questions, do not hesitate to ask! šŸ˜‰

      Best Regards

    • RE: SIM7020E MQTT connection error

hi @Gayan8090 , to connect to servers outside iotcreators ones, please use apn ā€œinternet.gma.iotā€.
APN ā€œscs.telekom.tma.iotā€ is only for accessing iotcreators sevices.

      Thank you very much,
      Best Regards

@magnatron hi, yes the update is completed, we had an outage of about 2 minutes at around 10.45 because of it, everything is up and running since then.

    • RE: listening port

@trick2011 , to help you troubleshoot your problem, you can also refer to our docs here that explains eDRX: https://docs.iotcreators.com/docs/nb-iot-network-information, and also here on the official gsma website you can find infos about the edrx parameters in europe https://www.gsma.com/iot/mobile-iot/roaming/ . Also, to be able to send data to your device through eDRX, you will need to send at least one payload from the device to our platform, because the mobile network needs to know the ip address of your device in order to correctly forward the message through eDRX.
      Hope this helps!

    • RE: listening port

ji @trick2011 , that means that our api is properly working. please verify on your device that edrx is enabled. Also, edrx is not supported everywhere, where is the device located?

    • RE: listening port

hi @trick2011 , i see that you have edrx enabled (or it seems so, i am not completely familiar with your modem). in this case, to send data to the device you can use our edrx api explained here https://docs.iotcreators.com/reference/send-base64-edrx-downlink-message , so that you don’t need to send data in order to receive.

      Hope this helps!

    • RE: Unable to reach TCP server externally (from internet)

@Reinier-Hasper yes exactly, your device under mobile connectivity can open a tcp socket with the remote server and have a bidirectional channel in this way, but not viceversa

    • RE: Unable to reach TCP server externally (from internet)

hi @Reinier-Hasper , generally speaking, you cannot be reached from the internet even with the public apn. That is how basically all mobile carriers work, you are effectively behind a private network and thus cannot be reached from the external world.

      Hope this clarifies,

      Hi Kamiel,
please do not post sensible data here such as your sim card iccid, i wanted to delete it but i deleted your port instead by mistake, sorry for that!
