m2m SIM LTE setting cgdcont etc.
-
Hi,
I have a m2m SIM card of Deutsche Telekom with roaming.
I want to use it in an IoT gateway of NCD.io USA with LTE modem.
What must be the cgdcont value, IP or IPV4 or IPV4V6 and APN name? And the UMNOPROF number.
I can’t get it working.Many thanks.

Hi Leendert,
which SIM card do you have? Do you have an IoT Creators SIM card? Where did you get it from? And did I understand it correctly that you want to use it in the Netherlands?

Hi Florian,
Thanks for the quick respons!
My SIM-card is a Deutsche Telekom one bought by my company DEKRA.
The SIM-card number is : [REMOVED FOR SECURITY REASONS]
And yes, for now, I want it to use in the Netherlands.
But if I’m informed right, it is now already a roaming card.I have to know if the information-parts for the .chat script :
AT+CGDCONT=1,“IP”, “internet.telekom”,“0.0.0.0”,0,0
is correct or not.
I can’t get it working in the software/hardware of the company NCD.io from the USA, where I bought an IoT chain.
I must also set the UMNOPROF number of the provider. Please help.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi @Leendert-Vermeulen, Deutsche Telekom’s public APN for IoT and M2M SIM cards is: internet.m2mportal.de
Please try this one. In case it doesn’t work then you probably have a SIM from another pool. A prerequisite for this APN to work for you is, that it needs to be allowed in your SIM profile.
Please reach out again and let me know what happened. I’ll help you further of course.

Now my additional hint about the AT commands: please have a look at our AT command guide for the modems
Please use the APN that I mentioned above because the one in the script is from IoT Creators.
